Position: Training Operations Manager

Reporting To: Training Director

Compensation: $60,000-75,000

The Training Operations Manager supports all the logistics and monitoring of the KPIs connected to the daily operations of our internal training programs, such as hotline essential skills, live learnings, internships, and LMS self-paced content. This role will be cross-trained to support and back up the other critical areas within the training team function, e.g., LMS administration and Live Learnings facilitation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage training inbox (training@rainn.org) and delegate items through the training team based on the owner for each request or question being asked.
  • Recommend actions to improve workflows and reports that are generated for the training team.
  • Assist with the tracking of budget performance, reporting, and planning.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Training and Training Program Manager to initiate operational strategies.
  • Complete management reports.
  • Ensure that a sufficient number of employee and volunteer trainees are signed up for live learnings based on grant deliverables and cohort ideal sizes: Live Learning Schedules and rescheduling.
  • Compile data (Training Analytics) for attendance trackers, LMS completion of self-paced content, quantitative progress reports (Mondays) - SHL, NSAH, and Volunteers; Qualitative reports e.g. Volunteer tracking through workflows from LL0-LL3).
  • Work closely with the Training Program Manager to establish systematic workflows for all live learning cohorts and self-paced learning completion. Monitor and share feedback of barriers to training completion with Training Program Manager and Training & Facilitation Supervisor. Propose operational procedures to increase training efficiency.
  • Create surveys regularly to collect and review employee/volunteer training experiences and, based on the findings, suggests changes to the Training Program Manager.
  • Create feedback loops to assess the efficacy of the training being delivered.
  • Ensure that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training.
  • Work closely with the Director of Training/Training Program Manager and technical team to provide operational input into the selection and operation of new technology and the development of new operating standards.
  • Review Role Play Exam results to assess how to provide feedback when trainees are not passing training shadow sessions.
  • Ensure that all trainees are paired for their Role Play exams and reach out to trainees to submit their transcripts before their debrief sessions.
  • Manage and monitor the National Advocate Credential Program with NOVA. This is necessary for the hotline staff credentialing.
  • Carry out any additional tasks and responsibilities relevant to the work being completed, as assigned.

Position Specifications/Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of managerial experience in Training & Development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or a similar field.
  • Advanced knowledge of online training methods and best HR practices.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems, such as UKG or Efront.
  • Certification such as CPTM or PMP is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience facilitating training using online learning platforms, such as learning management systems and/or Zoom.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a wide range of situations.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment when faced with complex decisions.
  • Maintain a positive and energetic attitude, with the ability to successfully work independently on a team.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable; responsive to new information and adjust plans and deliverables as needed.
  • Proficient with Project Management Software, UKG LMS or other adult learning platforms. Experienced with G-Suite and Excel, with advanced proficiency in spreadsheet management.
  • Must successfully complete and pass a criminal background check administered by RAINN.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in social work, education, and/or social justice.
  • Experience working with marginalized populations such as persons with disabilities, minors, immigrants, or members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Master Training Specialist Certification.

Physical Environment

There are no known harmful environmental conditions present for this position. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

RAINN headquarters are based in Washington, DC. This position may be based regionally for someone whose residence is within the continental USA. Although this may be a remote role, it may require some periodic business travel to our DC offices for onsite meetings and training sessions.
