Vice President Operations

QLM Search is partnering a specialist Ingredients group based in Chicago that is looking to appoint a Chief Operations Officer. Reporting to an entrepreneurial CEO with ambitious development and growth plans this is a newly created position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create and hold full responsibility for the supply chai, including strategic and operational management of a complex manufacturing and distribution network
• Leading, influencing and developing a team through the full supply chain
• Driving the simplification of production processes through standardization, technology and innovation, and the implementation of Lean methodologies
• Building integrated processes in supply chain by working with all functions in the business and tracking performance through effective KPIs, budgeting and forecasting

Preferred candidates will be commercially focussed Operational leaders with the ability to manage and support growth, and operational enhancements. You must have the ability to lead and motivate a small team combined with a strategic approach to implementing innovation and technology to drive operating performance. Candidates will have worked in Food, Beverage or preferable a small sized B2B Ingredients group to have an immediate impact.
