Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Compliance to work in our beautiful Coconut Grove office to lead our compliance efforts and ensure adherence to financial regulations and industry best practices. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a dynamic and innovative team committed to compliance excellence and will shape and lead compliance initiatives in a rapidly evolving industry.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building compliance management systems, developing monitoring and auditing programs, implementing effective controls, and executing remedial actions when necessary. A strong background in financial services is required. This role will be pivotal in guiding our company through evolving compliance requirements while supporting our mission to deliver exceptional services to our clients.

This role requires an individual with 7+ years of progressively responsible compliance experience.

Key Responsabilities:

Compliance Strategy Development:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned with regulatory requirements and company objectives
  • Stay current on financial regulations and industry standards to inform compliance practices


Compliance Management System:

  • Build and maintain an effective compliance management system
  • Develop policies and procedures that ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices


Monitoring and Auditing Programs:

  • Create and oversee monitoring and auditing programs to assess compliance effectiveness


Controls Implementation:

  • Establish and enforce internal controls to mitigate compliance risksCollaborate with various departments to integrate compliance into business processes


Remedial Actions:

  • Develop and implement remedial action plans as necessary in response to address any compliance deficiencies
  • Lead investigations into compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders on compliance and regulatory matters


Risk Management:

  • Assist in conducting periodic risk assessments associated with business operations and provide recommendations for mitigating regulatory and compliance risks with respect to existing, as well as new products and services
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the company's risk management framework to facilitate continual improvement and alignment with the company's business objectives


Training and Development:

  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the company's compliance management system and practices to foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior across the organization


Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present compliance reports to the executive team


Requirements

Education and Licensure:

  • Bachelor's degree in compliance, finance, business administration, law, or a related field preferred
  • Law degree preferred
  • Miami-Dade County, Florida or Dallas, Texas applicants preferred
  • Certification in compliance or related field (e.g., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)) a plus


Experience:

  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of financial services laws and regulations
  • Proven experience in building compliance management systems and monitoring programs


Skills and Abilities:

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain cross-collaborative teams in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to be influential at all levels
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Proficiency in both English required and Spanish preferred
  • Technical proficiency and familiarity with SalesForce, NAVEX, and AI solutions a plus
