Legal Counsel

Our client, a consulting firm in Prince George's County, MD, is currently seeking a Legal Counsel to manage their commercial contracts. The incumbent will review, draft, and negotiate agreements for both the firm and its customers.

Responsibilities

• Function as the legal expert for all commercial agreements and other related legal matters
• Manage and monitor all state regulatory licensing and registration requirements
• Ensure the contractual terms and conditions protect the company and minimize risk
• Enhance firm profitability through contract negotiations
• Standardize internal contract templates

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in the state of Maryland
• Two years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal setting
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
• Self starter
• Positive attitude
