Director of Sales

Summary

We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead our sales team at one of our domestic-brand dealerships in Alexandria, VA. If you enjoy delivering results; managing a team of managers, finance, and Sales Consultants; inspiring and training new Sales staff; setting and exceeding goals; and delivering an excellent customer experience we want to talk to you! Previous management experience is required; used car management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set and exceed sales goals for units, gross, finance, and customer experience score
• Implement and manage a comprehensive training program to hire and develop new Sales Consultants
• Involvement in all Internet leads
• Ensure a thriving, profitable, and consistent Used Car Department
• Manage the appraisal of used cars and take in as many trades as possible
• Understand and approve reconditioning process while maintaining a productive relationship with the Service Department
• Manage new and pre-owned inventory for maximum effectiveness in turn and profitability
• Ensure Finance Department is meeting benchmarks and perform T.O.s for warranties, protection packages, and other products
• Report regularly on Sales Department goals and progress with GM and Executive Office
• Ensure all customers have a positive dealership experience and encourage Google reviews
• Involve yourself in all incoming and outgoing customer traffic to ensure maximum close rate
• Ability to understand manufacturer programs and use them to maximize profitability
• Be able to resolve customer complaints and concerns effectively without further escalation
  
  
  

Requirements

• Previous Dealership Management Experience, preferably with Used Cars
• Demonstrated ability to manage others
• Friendly personality and the ability to get along with all personalities for customers and coworkers
• Internal desire to succeed and overcome any obstacle in your way
