Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a manufacturing client to seek an Accounting Manager. This position forms a vital part of the corporate finance department and is integral in ensuring the efficient financial operations of their organization.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will effectively manage, organize, and optimize their Accounting department's operations, including overseeing Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) teams. You will also assist in implementing and maintaining financial controls, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring the company's compliance with financial regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and manage the A/R and A/P teams and their operations.
• Facilitate the month-end close process and compile monthly financial statements and reports.
• Assist in the development and implementation of systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all accounting and financial functions.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial procedures.
• Review operations process, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven work experience as a supervisor - can be a senior accountant with supervisory experience stepping up.
• A/R and A/P process management experience.
• Strong analytical skills and tendency for attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines.
