Base pay range
Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, this impactful role is 100% remote and is for immediate hire!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute strategic communications plans for the CEO, driving brand awareness and advancing critical objectives with the CCO and Director of PR.
- Foster and leverage relationships to secure significant national engagements and media opportunities.
- Oversee the CEOs social media presence to ensure effective and positive representation.
- Prepare and refine speeches, presentations, and talking points for various occasions in collaboration with speechwriters.
- Broaden media outreach to secure coverage on relevant topics, including those intersecting with the organizations mission.
- Mentor and lead team members as the department evolves.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- 5+ years of experience as a publicist for high-profile C-suite executives who operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of securing national media placements and thought leadership opportunities.
- Strong interest in issues related to marginalized communities with the skill to communicate complex subjects effectively.
- At least 1 year of prior experience managing staff.
- Ability to pitch the CEO for relevant events and engagements that align with strategic objectives.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and public speaking skills.
- Effective time management skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexibility to work beyond standard hours as needed.
- Innovative and proactive approach to identifying new opportunities for thought leadership.
- Collaborative work style and commitment to the organizations values.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as necessary.
