Global Public Relations Director

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s Corporate Office locations in Beverly Hills, California.

Discovery Land Company is seeking a full-time, year-round Global Public Relations Director to join the Marketing Department.

Job Summary

The Global PR Director at Discovery Land Company leads the development and execution of strategic PR campaigns along with the CMO to elevate the company's brand domestically and showcase its projects globally. This role involves managing PR agencies on behalf of Discovery and clubs, maintaining media relationships, and crafting persuasive press materials. Additionally, the position entails partnering with the CMO and CLO regarding crisis management to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Spearhead global PR initiatives supporting Discovery Land Company worldwide, aimed at enhancing brand presence.
• Create a long-term media strategy that supports properties in various lifecycles of development and sales.
• Directly report to the CMO, collaborating closely to ensure alignment with overall communication strategies and sales goals.
• Partner closely with local agencies managing local issues, including community relations, throughout lifecycle of project.
• Leverage previous experience in luxury, real estate, or global communications roles to drive innovative and effective PR campaigns.
• Craft compelling press materials, including press releases, pitches, and presentations, to effectively communicate key messages and project narratives.
• Work with the experience team to coordinate high-impact events and press tours to generate visibility and excitement surrounding Discovery Land Company's developments.
• Provide strategic counsel on PR matters.
• Responsible for tracking media mentions and reporting key findings to leadership in a timely manner.
• Ghost write press responses on behalf of leadership and keeping leadership bios and company/project boilerplates up to date.
• Work with team to create and update copy to be used in various media channels.
• Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in PR
• Experience in luxury, real estate, or global communications roles preferred.
• Strong understanding of global media landscapes and cultural nuances across different regions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to varying work environments and time zones.
• Strategic mindset with the capability to develop and execute innovative PR strategies that drive business objectives.
• Familiarity with British English, Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish, or Italian a plus.
• Flexibility to travel when necessary.

The compensation for the position is: 150,000-160,000 + Bonus.
