Vice President of Tax and Accounting Services

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Accounting Services to lead our tax and bookkeeping departments and provide strategic direction in all tax and bookkeeping-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, planning, and compliance, with a proven track record of successfully managing a large team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of tax and bookkeeping professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Oversee all aspects of the company's tax function, including tax planning, compliance, and reporting, with a strong focus on providing an exceptional client experience.
• Drive initiatives to enhance the client experience, ensuring that tax services are delivered with the highest level of quality and professionalism.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing proactive guidance on tax-related matters.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on clients, providing timely insights and recommendations.
• Implement scalable processes and systems to streamline tax operations and support the company's expansion into new markets and geographies.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Proven track record of strategic planning, team leadership, and driving business results in a client-centric environment.
• Extensive experience in tax services, with a deep understanding of tax strategy, compliance, and planning for individuals and small businesses.
• Strong technical expertise in corporate taxation, including familiarity with federal and state tax laws, accounting principles, and tax planning strategies.
• Proven ability to effectively manage tax risks and opportunities in a dynamic business environment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
• A client-centric mindset with a passion for delivering an exceptional client experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, EA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience with an account management or advisory services field, with a focus on serving individual and small business clients.
• Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing teams and driving business outcomes.
• Experience with tax software and ERP systems; proficiency in financial tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, with a commitment to staying current on industry trends and developments.

Compensation

$185,000- $240,000
