Job Overview

The Senior Manager/Director of Cloud System Administration at RhythmX is responsible for overseeing the management and monitoring of the Microsoft Azure environment, including servers, databases, services, AI services, and networking components. This role ensures the availability, security, configuration, and growth of the IT infrastructure to meet RhythmX AI's strategic goals. Reporting to the SVP Technology, the Senior Manager/Director will lead a team of system administrators and undertake a variety of strategic and operational tasks detailed below.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the System Administration team for the Microsoft Azure environment. Oversee the management of cloud services, including Azure Entra, Policies, Storage, VMs, Web Services, NSGs, DNS, GPO Management, Microsoft Defender, etc.
• Develop and implement strategies for deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on Azure.
• Oversee the configuration of servers, application of patches, and provisioning and installation of software.
• Ensure server and security configurations are maintained in compliance with established best practices and configurations.
• Guide the implementation and maintenance of databases using SQL, NoSQL, or other database platforms.
• Conduct high-level network performance analysis and troubleshooting, providing guidance to the team as needed.
• Develop, promote, and oversee improvements to operating procedures.
• Review and maintain logs, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
• Lead team meetings, share strategic updates, and coordinate with other teams and departments.
• Design, implement, and test complex system and technical solutions, providing strategic direction.
• Assist in the implementation of new architectures, including roadmaps and portfolios for infrastructure architecture.
• Stay current on new technologies, researching products and new technology roadmaps. Recommend and integrate new technologies into the current computing environment.
• Recommend, plan, manage, architect, design, and develop infrastructure projects and solutions to support RhythmX AI's strategic requirements. Identify improvement opportunities focusing on current technical solutions and migration paths. Implement small to large-scale solutions adopting various technologies while automating business process models.
• Analyze flows and prepare strategic design documents relating to all aspects of RhythmX AI server technology architecture.
• Support cost-efficiency and agility related to IT opportunities, maintainability, supportability, and operational efficiency.
• Provide high-level analysis of security protection technologies as necessary.
• Maintain and update strategic infrastructure and operations processes and procedures.

• Proven ability to quickly diagnose and repair issues within complex systems.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, achieving maximum efficiency and productivity.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Azure administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex, and competing priorities and projects.
• Strong experience with security incident prevention, detection, and response.
• Experience with security assurance standards such as SOC 2 is a plus.
  
  

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of demonstrated experience maintaining a cloud environment, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role, managing teams and strategic initiatives.
• Experience with troubleshooting system performance and network issues.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure OpenAI platform is a plus.
• Extensive experience with best practices for security, data recovery, high availability, and auto-scaling.
• Willingness to be on-call as needed.
