Overview

The Engineering Team Leader will provide leadership and support in alignment with client’s leadership principles, mission, and values. This role entails setting clear expectations and performance goals for the assigned Engineering team, managing the entire Engineering team, and ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects. This role is critical for driving the success and efficiency of client’s engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker with excellent leadership skills, a strong technical background, and a commitment to client’s values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership consistent with client’s principles, mission, and values.
  • Set clear expectations and performance goals for the Engineering team.
  • Manage the Engineering team for Southeast USA Branches, including FL/GA regions.
  • Ensure completion of daily people management tasks such as timesheet approvals, time-off requests, employee communications, and performance management.
  • Provide solutions for complex design challenges to Team Leaders.
  • Design and calculate solutions to meet assigned project goals and profitability targets.
  • Provide PE Stamps for designs completed under direct supervision.
  • Provide necessary training to the Engineering team.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Experience

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • PE certification in construction or structural engineering

Qualifications

  • Active/ inactive/ renewal process PE Certification in construction or structural engineering.
  • Experience in forming/shoring, including bridge work.
  • Licensure in GA/FL or SE Region (NC/SC/GA/TN/AL/FL), with the ability to quickly obtain licenses in other states as needed.

Skills

  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions for complex design challenges.
  • Excellent project management and people management abilities.

Travel Requirement

  • Up to 5 to 10% domestic travel.
