ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Microsoft Power Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom Power Platform solutions to automate and streamline dealership processes: Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, etc.
  • Task Automation: Identify manual processes that can be automated and develop software solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • DMS Integration: Collaborate with IT and operations teams to integrate and optimize dealer management systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Data Pipelines (ETL): Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data efficiently across systems.
  • Database Management: Develop and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
  • Business Rules Application: Interpret and apply business rules to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
  • Observe and Automate Manual Processes: Analyze manual processes, write technical requirements, and implement/deploy automation solutions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with various departments to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software applications and systems.
  • Technology Upkeep: Stay current with the latest trends in software development, Microsoft Power Platform, and dealer-centric technology.
  • Project Scope Discussion: Meet with development managers to discuss the scope of software projects, accurately report status, and manage issues/risks.
  • Program Analysis: Analyze existing programs for modification purposes.
  • Software Research and Design: Research and design new software systems, websites, programs, and applications.
  • Code Implementation: Write and implement clean, scalable code.
  • Debugging and Verification: Troubleshoot and debug code, verify, and deploy software systems.
  • User Feedback Evaluation: Evaluate user feedback to recommend and execute program improvements.
  • Documentation and Training: Create technical documents and train staff on new software systems.
  • Automated Testing: Create and maintain a suite of automated tests to continually validate solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years in software development, focusing on automating tasks, developing low-code solutions, and building on the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Strong programming skills in your preferred language (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python).
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management.
  • Experience designing and implementing data pipelines (ETL).
  • Understanding of APIs and integration techniques.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive industry or with automotive dealership software.
  • Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Tekion, Reynolds and Reynolds, CDK Global, or Dealertrack.
  • Experience with dealer website providers like Autofusion, Dealer.com, vAuto, and Dealer Inspire.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform or related technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Customer-facing experience in providing technical support or consultancy.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, estimate, and execute complicated projects end-to-end.
  • Ability to architect, design, and build technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILLITIES:

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
