Job Details
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee the purchasing and selling of non-ferrous scrap metals.
Collaborate with the International Sales Manager to expand non-ferrous markets and grow the customer base.
Strengthen partnerships with international customers through consistent communication and regular travel.
Maintain a solid understanding of international metal trade laws, regulations, and restrictions.
Implement strong risk management practices.
Stay informed on market trends, pricing, demand, and other market dynamics.
Work closely with the logistics team to establish a cost-effective supply chain.
Utilize effective negotiation skills to maintain professional relationships and develop strategies.
Focus on providing excellent customer service to achieve client satisfaction.
Participate in cross-functional trading relationships within the team.
Assist in creating strategic plans to generate new sources and sales of raw materials.
Utilize knowledge of non-ferrous markets and tools such as terminal markets, swaps, tolls, formula pricing, and hedging.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is strongly preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Experience
Minimum of 5+ years of successful international experience in the non-ferrous scrap industry is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Extensive professional network within the international non-ferrous metals industry.
Ability to excel under pressure, manage multiple tasks, process information rapidly, and make decisions based on market dynamics.
Team player with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
Excellent Negotiation Skills And The Ability To Influence Others.
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely.
Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects, and prioritize tasks appropriately.
