Software Engineering Manager
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance environment
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical direction, set coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices in software development, architecture, and design
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and with high quality
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, UX, QA, and other cross-functional teams to define requirements, set priorities, and drive the successful implementation of features
- Innovation: Encourage a culture of innovation, continuously exploring new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve the development process and product quality
- Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and ensure maintainability
- Talent Development: Identify training needs, facilitate professional development, and promote career growth opportunities within the team
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals
- Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role, preferably in a SaaS or technology company
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in modern web technologies, including NodeJS, ReactJS, HTML, CSS, PostgreSQL, etc., with a deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and cloud-based services
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams, with a focus on mentorship, team building, and fostering a positive work environment
- Project Management: Experience managing complex software projects, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and mitigate risks
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Education: Undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or a related technical field
- Location: Lehi, UT (we are not currently hiring remote employees)
- This is a Full-Time in Office position
