Role Overview:


They are seeking a highly entrepreneurial Content Strategy Lead specializing in story-telling on sustainability and impact. You will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling narratives and informative content across various platforms.


Responsibilities:

  • Creating engaging content across mediums: Lead the creation of diverse content types, including articles, SEO-optimizing blogs, brochures, product descriptions, websites, white papers, sales decks, proposals, special reports, and more - all produced with a thoughtful perspective on sustainability and plastic action.
  • Distilling work through powerful storytelling: Utilize storytelling techniques to engage audiences and communicate complex topics in an accessible and compelling manner.
  • Raising the bar on rePurpose’s content quality: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all written content through meticulous editing and proofreading processes.
  • Setting their content marketing strategy: Develop and execute content marketing strategies tailored to promote awareness, engagement, and action in the areas of sustainability and plastic action; for the various audiences we seek to spark conversations with: consumer brands; retailers; sustainability influencers and enablers; policy-makers; and individual consumers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sustainability, finance, and design teams, to align content initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor content performance metrics and leverage insights to optimize content strategies and drive continuous improvement.


What They Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
  • Experience in B2B Content Marketing: Proven experience in B2B content marketing, preferably in the sustainability or environmental sector, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating articles, blogs, brochures, product descriptions, websites, white papers, and special reports.
  • Creative Powerhouse: Proven ability to create engaging and thoughtful content marketing across mediums (videos, long-form reports/whitepapers, website pages, presentations for speeches) - both by rolling up your sleeves and creating content yourself, and by managing agencies/ supporting resources to deliver content pieces, preferably in the sustainability or environmental sector, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating articles, blogs, brochures, product descriptions, websites, white papers, and special reports.
  • Storytelling Skills: Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to craft narratives that captivate and inspire action, particularly in the context of sustainability and environmental issues.
  • Excellent Copywriting: Proficiency in copywriting techniques to optimize content for resonating with the diverse audiences we seek to engage with and optimize organic visibility and shareability.
  • Digital Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of digital marketing principles and tactics, with the ability to integrate content into broader digital marketing strategies.
  • Editing and Proofreading: Strong editing and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in written content.

Location Preference:


The role is hybrid working, we are looking for the team members to be located at their head office in New York City, with weekly in-office days at our office at 1460 Broadway. We have a truly global team - with members across Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, London, Nairobi, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and Jakarta.
