We’re looking for an amazing Business Development Manager based in tri state area, with Northern NJ or Downstate NY preferred, to fill this role. This role is remote but will be required to travel to sales events in the Northeast US. You’ll be responsible for managing the business development (sales) of a defined list of travel agency accounts within a specified territory. The objective is to achieve sales goals for Princess Cruises in alignment with the company's business objectives and Core Values. This role will be responsible for accounts in the Northeast US defined as the area between DC and Maine. Reports to the Director of Sales, Eastern US.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development (Revenue Generation)
  • Agency Account Management
  • Marketing Development and Management
  • Budget Management
  • Communication (Internal, External, and Feedback)
  • Professional Development
  • Participation at trade conferences and events – often including weekends and or evenings.
  • Participation in ship inspections – usually on weekends. These events usually start at 10am and last until 3pm.
  • Conducting travel advisor trainings – often late in the day after 5pm
  • Regularly scheduled/Monthly marketing communications via newsletters & webinars
  • Hosting Seminars at Sea

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Hospitality
  • 3 years of business to business (B2B) sales experience.
  • Preferred 5 years of business to business (B2B) sales experience in the travel industry or high value sales products
  • Strong in-person and virtual presentation skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong consultative selling skills
  • Solid computer literacy
  • Ability to plan, schedule, prioritize workload
  • Adaptable to change
  • Perseverance to work with agency decision makers
  • Works well in a team
  • Willingness to take on ad-hoc projects
  • Self-directed and ability to work independently
  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Base Salary Range: $66,700 - $90,100. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
