About Our Client

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and executing continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing plant. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and enhancing overall efficiency using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. The Continuous Improvement Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that align with the company's operational goals and improve overall productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Job Description

  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
    • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase efficiency.
    • Develop, implement, and sustain Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other CI tools.
    • Analyze current operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Conduct root cause analysis of operational issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
    • Standardize processes and ensure best practices are shared and implemented across the organization.
  • Leadership and Training:
    • Coach and mentor employees at all levels on CI tools and methodologies.
    • Lead training sessions and workshops to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Build and maintain a CI culture by engaging all employees in the CI process.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and other departments to drive continuous improvement efforts.
    • Facilitate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
    • Communicate project status, successes, and challenges to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple CI projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget.
    • Document and report on the progress of CI initiatives and their impact on operations.
    • Prepare and present reports on CI activities and results to senior management.

The Successful Applicant


  • ducation:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, or related field.
    • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a continuous improvement role.
    • Proven track record of leading successful CI projects in a manufacturing setting.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Results-driven with a focus on achieving measurable improvements.
    • Strong leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring and coaching.
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

What's On Offer

Target compensation for the Continuous Improvement Manager is $130,000 - $150,000 base salary + bonus. Compensation is commensurate with candidate experience.
