IT Cloud Systems Engineer (Fully Remote)

The Cloud Engineer will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficiency of the customer's infrastructure and architecture. This is achieved by designing, developing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated cloud management systems.
The Cloud Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. This individual may also mentor and guide other cloud engineering staff.
US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

Internal title/grade: System Engineer, Grade 6
Salary range: $93,400 - $138,000
All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work. The pre-employment background investigation will include verification of employment and education, as well as, a criminal and DMV check.
Additional documentation and background checks will also be required for positions that require clearance from the Federal government.

Responsibilities
- Studies and analyzes complex system requirements
- Designs and deploys and manages dynamically scalable, available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on the Cloud
- Selects appropriate Cloud services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements
- Migrates complex, multi-tier applications on Cloud Platforms
- Designs and deploys enterprise-wide scalable operations on Cloud Platforms
- Implements cost-control strategies
- Analyzes current architecture and test platforms to formulate a vision for growth and expansion
- Collaboratively elaborates requirements with a dynamic team
- Performs detailed designs using sound software and engineering principals
- At least 6 years of progressive IT experience with a minimum of 2 years within federal IT Cloud modernization projects, specifically on AWS
- Demonstrated experience developing, and deploying secure cloud-based systems on AWS
- Experience implementing security best practices in the development and deployment of cloud-based systems
- Experience collaborating with development teams to design and implement new features and functionalities
- Experience performing code, database and system reviews
- Experience assessing code, security and system test results and implementing mitigation or resolutions to enhance the stability, security or reliability of the applications
- Experience developing technical requirements based on business needs and using Cloud technologies to meet those requirements
- AWS IT Certification
- Bachelor's degree or 8 years of additional experience required
