YOUR ROLE

The ALDO Group‘s wholesale (APS) division is an industry-recognized wholesale distributor and third-party sourcing provider of fashion footwear, handbags and accessories. ALDO Product Services (APS) has branded wholesale, private label and brand management partnerships with some of the largest retailers in the world.

The Sales Director (Wholesale) is responsible for establishing the sales strategy and achieving the wholesale revenue targets for the ALDO brand in North America. This person is responsible for the entire sales cycle with a group of key accounts across all relevant channels (including Departments stores, Specialty chains and Off-price retailers). More precisely, he/she will be accountable for prospecting new business, growing existing accounts, managing a small team and working with various internal and external partners.

Driving Revenue

  • Build, lead and execute a stable and long-term strategic revenue plan for the business unit.
  • Establish a distribution strategy that drives profitable growth within all tiers of the market.
  • Increase sales and market share with new and existing accounts within the North American market.
  • Lead and drive revenue forecasting and manage the entire P&L for the business unit.
  • Evaluate and monitor the competitive landscape.

Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate cross functionally and foster integration between sales, marketing, logistics and product development to deliver an elevated consumer experience and positively affect sales.
  • Develop and track initiatives between multiple departments to implement new processes and deliver sales growth.
  • Manage and utilize KPI scorecards to measure success and adapt to changing marketplace trends.
  • Perform relevant evaluation of market trends and present these to customers, product teams and management.
  • Manage sales programs and liquidation strategies to accelerate product sell-through and maximize all revenue opportunities.

Team Leadership

  • Drive accountability and lead with kindness with all external and internal team members.
  • Coach and mentor a team of sales professionals to help them reach their full potential and help us achieve or organizational goals.

DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales or other related field
  • ‘’Best-in-class" ability to establish meaningful business relationships
  • Highly developed entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills in French/English due to communications outside Canada
  • Proven business acumen
  • Capacity to efficiently work cross-functionally
  • High problem solving and analytical skills
  • Retail or wholesale experience preferred
