Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a visionary and passionate Vice President of People to join our dynamic leadership team. You will play a pivotal role in building and leading a high-performing people organization, attracting and retaining top talent, and cultivating a culture that fuels innovation, engagement, and growth. With your strategic expertise and deep understanding of human capital management, you will be instrumental in propelling our company forward and empowering our people to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and implement an effective recruitment strategy to attract top talent in the metals industry.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate evaluation.
- Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs and align talent acquisition efforts with the company's growth objectives.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to enhance the company's reputation as an employer of choice.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, including recruitment agencies, universities, and industry networks.
- Optimize the candidate experience to ensure a seamless and positive recruitment journey.
- Implement and utilize recruitment metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts.
- Human Resources:
- Oversee all aspects of human resources, including HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's mission and vision.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity and belonging among employees.
- Lead employee engagement and retention efforts to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Manage HR administration, including payroll, benefits, and HRIS management.
- Ensure compliance with HR regulations and legal requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the HR team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Advanced HR certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in recruiting and human resources, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrials, mining or related industries
- Strong expertise in talent acquisition, employer branding, and candidate sourcing strategies.
- Familiarity with sustainable mining practices and related industries is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse candidates and teams.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with the company's mission and vision.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities to drive successful recruiting and HR efforts.
- Knowledge of HR regulations and compliance requirements.
