Base pay range
Our client, a not-for-profit teaching hospital serving an ethnically diverse community in New York City, is hiring a Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources will manage the daily operations of a dynamic HR department, leading and developing the team while overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, HR operations and administration, and strategic HR planning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer to understand the organizational goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership to develop and execute human capital plans that drive organizational success.
- Partner with leadership to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals and values.
- Work across all departments to forecast future talent needs to support organizational objectives.
- Develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent and build a diverse workforce.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating programs for sourcing, recruiting, hiring, and orienting talent in partnership with hiring managers.
- Implement performance management systems alongside the Leadership Team to set clear expectations, provide feedback, and recognize achievements.
- The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the HR lifecycle and demonstrate strong competencies in values and ethics, business acumen and judgment, strategic thinking, conflict management, and self-awareness.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred in Business, Human Resources or related fields.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent HR certification preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in human resources management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
