Overview: As a Sr. Manager of Strategic Planning at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.

Reporting to the VP, Chief of Staff, our Senior Manager of Strategic Programs (SMSP) owns and drives cross-functional strategic and operational initiatives to world class completion through extensive planning, focused execution, and diligent follow through. This includes driving organization-wide transformation programs, implementing or enhancing internal operations and reporting, and leading meaningful change by proactively developing, managing, and monitoring cross-departmental projects that drive long-term business value. The mission of the SMSP is to increase the effectiveness and productivity of the leadership team and company by providing structure, processes, tools, and leadership that will enable our companies to achieve their value creation goals. To make this possible, you should be adept at leading projects and programs with clear plans, priorities, accountability, and passion.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while deepening experience in running a successful software business. The right candidate is a 10 out of 10 on organization and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the leadership team to design and manage transformational, cross-functional initiatives and programs that enable the company to achieve short and long-term financial goals
  • Prioritized initiatives may include:
    • Supporting annual strategic planning for the company, our Rally Cry & Definition Objective process (RCDO), and managing execution of project plans through weekly sprint process
    • Establishing a clearly defined governance approach for all stages of the projects process
    • Define, track, and refine metrics and KPIs that measure the business health and successful execution of strategic projects and initiatives
    • Partner with leadership to lead rapid acquisition integration
  • Facilitate the cadence of project leadership meetings, priority setting, tracking and accountability, and business reporting
  • Lead successful implementations of strategic initiatives aimed at increasing growth, profitability, and accelerating company performance
  • In partnership with leadership team, drive consistent prioritization, visibility, and execution of core business initiatives
  • Create and drive project/program plans and schedules to achieve the business results, not just check the box
  • Summarize project updates for executive and board-level audience, as well as escalate issues in a timely and responsible manner
  • Implement and continue to improve best practices company-wide and across specific functions
  • Ad-hoc analysis to identify and escalate business issues; as well as dig in and get curious on a wide variety of topics and data sources

Qualifications:

  • Has a minimum of 7 years progressive management experience with 9+ years overall functional experience in a minimum of two different operational roles at B2B software companies
  • Proven track record of generating high-quality business results
  • Experience working at a PE-backed company
  • Ability to execute at a strategic level and able to roll up the sleeves and do detailed work; easily able to shift from one to the other
  • Solid program and project management skills, having managed and successfully delivered multiple, complex projects on-time, on-quality and on-budget
  • Maniacal discipline on setting and managing priorities and results
  • Ability to drive change, manage up and lead through influence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to implement best practices and results-based metrics
  • Solid financial acumen
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Open to travel and working across global time zones

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $100,000 to $145,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Litera offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
