Our Financial Consulting practice has experienced major growth in the last several years and we are looking for someone to serve as an ambassador to the Phoenix market and drive our strategic client relationships.

This role will entail partnering with our practice leader, a former national firm Audit Partner, and delivering world class service and talent to our clients and prospects.


We impact our clients by providing financial consultants to perform audit readiness, balance sheet and G/L clean up, financial statement prep, financial reporting, process improvement, and implementation of standard operating procedures.


The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships with other service providers, and driving growth initiatives to achieve Headfarmer’s revenue and expansion goals. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented individual with a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and a competitive landscape.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the business development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives. Identify key growth areas and market opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and identify potential areas for expansion or diversification.
  • Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and potential clients to create new business opportunities and drive long-term growth.
  • Lead Generation: Oversee the identification and pursuit of new business leads, including managing the sales pipeline and ensuring effective follow-up and closure of opportunities.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, agreements, and terms with clients and partners to ensure mutually beneficial arrangements and optimal business outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other practice areas such as human resources, technology and finance and accounting to align business development efforts with overall company objectives and ensure effective execution of growth strategies.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to identify innovative approaches and solutions that can drive business growth.
  • Associations: Headfarmer sponsors multiple finance associations and exclusive events that cater to local CFO’s and Controller. This is a key environment for fostering relationships.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, marketing, finance, or a related field required.


Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field such as professional services. Public accounting or corporate finance experience is highly preferred.
