  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience in developing or integrating new developer products on games.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience as a mobile or PC game publisher, or working with those publishers.
  • Understanding of game technical development and commercial growth needs.
  • An entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to balance execution with holistic strategy.
  • Distinctive problem-solving, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven success in managing complex, cross-product area projects including project management, prioritization, and tracking of deliverables.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define product roadmaps by operationalizing strategy.
  • Define requirements (PRDs), own a multi-year roadmap for multiplatform experiences, and work with engineering to build features.
  • Build foundational capabilities to support our native PC game expansion program for users and developers.
  • Define, build, and release user experiences that retain and engage PC gamers on our platform.
  • Help identify, define, and launch a full suite of gaming experiences that bring the best of Google Play to games.
