What You Will Do

As Program Director of Quality Assurance at Caesars Digital you will be at the forefront of creating and maintaining the best Automated Quality Assurance team, tools and practices in a modern software development organization. You will need a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a customer-centric mindset. Here are some key qualities you will need:

  • Technical proficiency: As Program Director of Quality Assurance should have a deep understanding of software development processes, testing methodologies, and quality assurance frameworks. You should strive to stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to automated software testing.
  • Strategic thinking: As Program Director of Quality Assurance you will be tasked with aligning quality assurance strategies with the overall business goals and objectives. Developing a long-term vision for QA and defining clear goals, metrics, and processes to achieve the desired quality standards.
  • Leadership and management skills: As Program Director of Quality Assurance should be an effective leader who can inspire and motivate your team. You should possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and executives.
  • Program management: Having the ability to drive and track multiple initiatives across multiple departments is essential for the Program Director of Quality Assurance. This includes identifying and prioritizing critical use cases, performing user acceptance testing, and gathering feedback to improve the overall quality of the software at scale.
  • Agile and adaptable: In a modern software development organization, agility is key. A great Program Director of Quality Assurance is familiar with Agile and DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). You can adapt to changing project requirements, leverage automation and test automation frameworks, and integrate QA processes seamlessly into the development lifecycle.
  • Quality-driven mindset: As Program Director of Quality Assurance you should instill a quality-driven culture within the organization. You will be tasked with promoting quality as everyone's responsibility and encourage developers to embrace a "shift-left" approach, where testing activities start early in the development process. Additional Specifics

  • Work with a range of senior leaders in the organization to build and maintain a fully automated platform regression test suite that’s used as a first class component of the SDLC to ensure all new development on the Caesars Digital platform is done on a stable platform foundation
  • Be an advocate for Test-Driven Development in practice and working with the leading engineers in the organization across the requirements areas to deliver this into the SDLC
  • Be able to drive delivery of organizational-wide quality assurance initiatives (process, tools, documentation) through our Communities of Practice and invite increased contribution from the engineering organization
  • Work with the Product Leads, Product Managers and Design communities to fully integrate the culture of test-driven development from the start of all feature development
  • Help transform the organization away from a manual testing culture to fully embrace automation as a platform for scale and future success
  • As an engineering community build and maintain a range of software assets that are high value, toolkit enablers to all software development teams in the organization
  • Refresh and relaunch our processes around other testing craft including Non-Functional Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Manual Testing
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions, escalate issues where needed

This role is remote, with one required visit to your designated home office per quarter.

Home Office: Jersey City, NJ
