Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will work closely with business leaders and employees in the financial services sector to drive strategic HR initiatives, support talent management, and ensure alignment between business goals and HR practices. The role includes overseeing various HR functions such as employee relations, performance management, and compliance, with a specific focus on supporting open enrollment and benefits administration. Experience with Paylocity and HRIS systems is preferred, but candidates with transferable experience in ADP, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar HR software are also encouraged to apply. Pay is dependent upon experience!
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Collaborate with senior leaders and management teams to understand business needs and align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide strategic advice on talent management, organizational development, and change management initiatives.
- Act as a consultant to managers on HR-related issues, including performance management, employee engagement, and conflict resolution.
- Support recruitment efforts by partnering with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Assist in onboarding and orientation programs for new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
- Manage performance review processes, provide guidance on goal setting, and facilitate employee development plans.
- Address employee concerns and grievances, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate actions.
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement through various initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and changes in employment law.
- Support the open enrollment process by providing guidance and information to employees about benefits options.
- Coordinate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely enrollment and changes.
- Assist employees with benefits inquiries, claims, and problem resolution.
- Identify training needs and coordinate or deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Support leadership development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess trends, measure effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare and present reports on HR activities, employee metrics, and other relevant data to management.
Qualifications:
- Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in HR, with a strong background in employee relations, talent management, and benefits administration, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and benefits administration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
