Role Summary

Cascade Strategy is seeking an experienced Director of Strategic Accounts. You will play a crucial role in retaining and growing our most strategic accounts. You will be supported by a skilled customer success manager and implementation team to ensure the successful delivery of our solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving new business through adjacent verticals and expanding into new business locations and geographies of our largest customers. This is a newly created role, which means that you’ll be responsible for shaping the vision and direction of the team. This will also present organic leadership opportunities in the future.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management

  • Retain and grow relationships with our most strategic accounts.
  • Develop and execute account plans to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer success manager and implementation team to ensure seamless delivery and execution of our solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.


New Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within adjacent verticals and new geographies of our largest customers.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand our presence in new business locations.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential new business through proactive outreach and relationship building.
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to create targeted campaigns and strategies for new business acquisition.


Customer Advocacy and Relationship Building:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions and value.
  • Advocate for customer needs within Cascade, working with internal teams to drive product enhancements and improvements.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze account performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on account status, growth opportunities, and potential risks to senior management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate forecasting of revenue and account growth.


Capabilities (priority order)
  1. Strong Revenue Mentality: Highly commercial with a focus on identifying the fastest path to revenue.
  2. Executive-Level Stakeholder Communications: Must be able to command respect from senior customer stakeholders such as CEOs, CFOs and COOs.
  3. Highly Collaborative & Cross-Functional: Will work closely with others such as CSMs and Implementation Managers on holistic account experience.
  4. Independant, Proactive & Strategic: Will be required to proactively identify growth opportunities in the portfolio and manage an active pipeline of deals at all times. Must operate highly strategically with a mid to long term view on everything that they build.
  5. Resilience & Strength in Adversity: Proven ability to lead through adversity in challenging circumstances.


Experience (priority order)
  1. Enterprise Sales Experience: Proven track record of driving revenue in mid-market and enterprise accounts through sales and expansions. Ideally 5+ years spent working on accounts worth between $200k to $500k+ (USD).
  2. Strategy Management: Direct exposure to business strategy either via consulting or through a role in industry which was directly accountable for corporate strategy.
