About The Role

Join Our Team as a Director, Clinical Practice Liaison in our Long Term Care space: Leading Innovation in Medical Science and Engagement!

Do you have a passion for driving meaningful connections between healthcare providers and cutting-edge medical advancements? At Neurocrine, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Field Director to lead a team of field-based Clinical Practice Liaison (CPL) with expertise in the LTC space.

You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to connect with Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other Health Care Providers (HCPs) in the Therapeutic Area of interest. You will lead and manage a team of Clinical Practice Liaisons across the US, utilizing your expertise to engage and communicate Neurocrine science while gaining valuable clinical insights. This is a field-based role with considerable travel requirements, offering a unique opportunity to make a direct impact across diverse healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will live in Denver, Salt Lake City, Dallas or Chicago - next to a major airport for ease of travel.


Your Contributions (include But Are Not Limited To)

  • Develop strategic and tactical plans for the Clinical Practice Liaison (CPL) team, serving as a primary leadership conduit between the FMA team and the Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Clinical Development departments to ensure the team has the most current and relevant information for peer-to-peer KOL interactions.
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing field-based teams, providing oversight and support for newly hired CPLs through onboarding, performance management, and career progression.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the FMA plan of action for KOL/HCP engagement, and communicate and represent cross-functionally with medical affairs, marketing, commercial, and advocacy teams to support common initiatives.
  • Establish performance standards, including CPL qualitative and quantitative metrics for activities across product continuums, and develop and analyze monthly reports to reflect field activity and manage trends.
  • Observe, coach, and mentor direct reports through direct field observation, and raise issues to upper management as needed.
  • Ensure operational excellence, including managing budget, travel and expenses, entry of activities into systems of record, and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Keep current in the latest literature and research, medical/nursing congresses within therapeutic area to facilitate meaningful clinical/scientific interactions and be a resource for your team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements

    • Master's degree, NP, CNS, PA, or equivalent and 10+ years of relevant experience in Psychiatry, Neurology, LTC; Academic or clinical practice experience in Psychiatry, Neurology and ideally LTC is required. Experience in successfully working with corporate office cross-functional teams to contribute to product strategy. Experience in diseases and pharmaceuticals with mood disorders/schizophrenia experience preferred. OR
    • PhD, PharmD, or DNP degree and 7+ years of similar experience noted above.
    • Extensive previous managerial experiences also required.
    • Recognized as an internal thought leader with extensive technical and business expertise within a strategic organization.
    • Up to 50% domestic travel

    The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $189,200.00-$273,875.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
