Description

Lima One’s Quality Control (QC) Manager is capable and passionate about compliance, process improvement, Risk Management, and quality. Their primary duties will include overseeing the quality assurance and compliance review program, consulting with production teams to improve process, identification of needed training and development, and development of management reporting and documentation. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of Lima One’s operations, ensuring that all lending activities are conducted in a compliant, efficient, and high-quality manner.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control programs and procedures to ensure compliance to SOPs and guidelines.
• Conducting regular audits and reviews of loan files to identify potential issues or gaps in the process.
• Manage vendor relationships utilized in connection with the QC programs needs
• Analyzing data and trends from QC reviews to identify areas for process improvement and recommending changes to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve the overall quality of lending processes.
• Working closely with various departments, such as underwriting, processing, and sales, to implement necessary changes identified to ensure a cohesive approach to quality control.
• Maintaining accurate records of audits, reviews, and corrective actions taken.
• Preparing detailed reports on QC findings and presenting them to senior management.
• Providing training and guidance to staff on quality control standards and procedures.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in quality control, auditing, compliance, or a related field within the financial services industry (Mortgage Origination experience is a plus).
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role, demonstrating the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Understanding of risk management principles and practices specific to the lending industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports, training, and collaborating.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess data, identify trends, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• High level of attention to detail to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in audits and reviews.
• Ability to develop practical solutions to quality issues and implement corrective actions effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to stay current with changes across the organization, to the guidelines and processes, and with industry standards and practices.
• High ethical standards and integrity to ensure compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
  
  

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills And Competencies

• Experience creating and building out a QC or Compliance program, processes, and team.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending processes, risk assessment, and real estate market dynamics
