Job Summary

The Director of Business Transformation will lead the strategic and operational initiatives aimed at optimizing the company’s global footprint and driving significant improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability across the organization. This role requires a visionary leader who can integrate diverse teams and processes to achieve transformational change. The Director will work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and external partners to develop and implement strategies that align with our long-term business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business transformation and footprint optimization strategy in alignment with the overall business strategy and goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex transformation and optimization projects on time and within budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of current operations, facilities, and supply chain networks to identify opportunities for consolidation, expansion, or realignment.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements across the organization.
  • Oversee the integration of new technologies and digital solutions to enhance operational capabilities and business performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and external partners to ensure successful implementation of transformation initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and impact of transformation and optimization efforts.
  • Design and implement change management frameworks to facilitate smooth transitions during transformation initiatives.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of transformation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly in defense contracting and international operations.
  • Promote sustainability practices and initiatives in footprint optimization projects, aiming to reduce environmental impact and enhance resource efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals in business transformation, optimization, and related functions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business transformation, operational excellence, strategy consulting, or a related field within the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing large-scale transformation and optimization projects in a complex, multi-location environment.
  • Deep understanding of the aerospace and defense sector, including market trends, regulatory compliance, sustainability practices, and technological advancements.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Locations:

The candidate must live in a commutable range to one of the locations above.

This position is hybrid and requires working in the office a minimum of 2 days a week.
