This position will report directly to our CEO.  You will be the one to work closely with the Leadership Team to make sure that Company initiatives and projects are being completed on time.   


Position Summary

This cross-divisional, multifunctional role is a key contributor to the development and execution of company goals.  A hybrid role specializing in Project Management, Event Operations and Client Experience, the Director of Ops will be responsible for outlining company goals into projects, keeping company and event specific projects on task and managing the relationship with all Stakeholders including, but not limited to, customers, partners, affiliates and contractors. 


Key Responsibilities

Collaborating with the Visionary / Founder / CEO and being the catalyst to executing the vision and plan.  Helps bring his vision to reality by decreasing day-to-day involvement of the Visionary so that he may work in his genius.


  • Leads, manages, and holds the leadership team accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments and KPI’s.
  • Work with CEO to discuss and execute strategic planning for the business
  • Works with the Director of Finance to  faithfully execute the business plan, achieving or exceeding planned P & L objectives.
  • Integrates all major operating functions of the business. Ensures everyone is rowing together in the same direction. Models the way, always working toward the greater good of the business
  • Resolves issues effectively - seeing real problems, being comfortable with conflict, calling out the problems, and solving the problems in a practical and healthy manner. Ensures the leadership team is healthy, functional, and cohesive.
  • Ensures that everyone is truly following, and adhering to, the company’s core processes and operating system with consistency. Demonstrates effective project management skills.
  • Dependably demonstrates a relentless obsession with values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity.
  • Effectively collaborates with the Visionary and stays on the same page. Maintains a high level of mutual respect with the Visionary. Realizes the unique contributions and ideas that the Visionary has, and possesses an ability to filter and translate those ideas into functional plans for the company.
  • Confirms that all key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the organization. Inherently ensures that everyone is in the know. Verifies that a high level of effective communication exists throughout the organization.
  • Responsible for the implementing and continued use of the Entrepreneurial Operating System, including Quarterly meetings, 5-5-5 Meetings, and Annual Meetings.




Key Performance Indicators

  • Project Schedule Variance: Work with Leadership Team and other  Team members to deliver projects / Rocks on time.  Will initially start with simple tracking of overdue tasks in Clickup by staff members and will develop into a more sophisticated reporting metric.
  • Labor Utilization: Evaluation of Scorecard metrics to determine and ensure team capacities are not being underutilized or understaffed so that efficiency throughout the team is maintained.
  • Successful Leadership Team L10 Meetings; Quarterly Meetings; and Annual Meetings: Will plan and lead, or assist the Visionary in leading, the above meetings to ensure the efficient and successful completion of company rocks, One-Year Plan, Three-Year Plan and Ten-Year Plan.

Key Competencies:

Our ideal candidate is organized with an extremely high attention to detail.  He or she has previous project management experience that includes meeting deadlines, managing budget and managing multiple contractors/team members.  Strong multitasking and communication skills are a must.  An ideal candidate would be a  highly motivated individual who is highly proficient at running multiple large projects simultaneously and delegating tasks with minimal supervision.  


  • Has the ability to understand how multiple systems work together in the company.
  • Works on the same level as the Visionary but is the functional “do-er”.
  • Effectively evaluates new ideas and works with Visionary to include new ideas in short- or long-term planning or exclude ideas as needed.

  • Project Management: Not only utilizes but excels at the use of Clickup Project Management and Slack Chat.  
  • Communication: Play an active role in communicating with others; Stay current with company information; Ask questions; Listen for understanding and take action; Be respectful in your communication with others; Participate effectively in work conversations; Use communications to improve results.
  • Time-tracking: Detailing of Time per Project vs Revenue Generated for that project, including general  project related activities.
  • Budgeting: Creates a budget for review by Jan. 1, 20__. Then monthly reporting against that budget.
  • Organization: Determines the appropriate allocation of time and balances conflicting priorities in order to manage workflow, ensure the completion of essential projects, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Proactivity: Demonstrates the ability to foresee problems and prevent them by taking action; Utilizes analytical skills and a broad understanding of the business to effectively interpret and anticipate needs. 
  • Adaptability: Demonstrates flexibility in the face of change; Projects a positive demeanor regardless of changes in working conditions; Shows the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities without loss of composure.
