Director of Payment Operations

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Director of Payment Operations will lead and manage the full spectrum of payment operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while driving strategic initiatives to enhance service quality and member experience.

This role involves overseeing money movement systems, implementing operational efficiencies, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations. The Director will collaborate across departments to deliver end-to-end payment services, innovate processes, and manage projects that align with the organization's strategic goals.

This is a Direct Hire, Full Time position, under a W2. Role is completely HYBRID in the East Bay.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Payment Operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
• Oversee audit processes, risk assessments, and remediation plans.
• Drive process improvements, product development, and system enhancements.
• Develop and execute payment strategies, including ACH, wire transfers, and mobile deposits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years managing payment systems, including ACH and wire transfers.
• 5+ years in a managerial role within the financial industry.
• Extensive knowledge of EFT, NACHA, UCC, Reg E, Reg CC, and Federal Reserve Regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• AAP (ACH) and/or NCP (Checks) Certification preferred.

Salary Expectations: 125,000 - 160,000
