Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Management:
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the front desk, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling efficiently.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and courteously.
- Ensure a positive and welcoming experience for patients from check-in to check-out.
- Handle patient complaints or issues with empathy and professionalism.
- Insurance Processing:
- Utilize knowledge of medical insurance procedures to verify patient insurance coverage.
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and educate them on billing processes.
- Collaborate with billing department to ensure accurate and timely submission of insurance claims.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain and update patient records accurately.
- Coordinate and manage office supplies, ensuring availability for day-to-day operations.
- Assist in training and onboarding front desk staff as needed.
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a medical office setting with a focus on front desk management.
- Skills:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using medical office software and scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and claims processing is highly desirable.
- Communication:
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate with patients, staff, and medical professionals in a professional manner.
- Team Player:
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to assist in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the medical office.
