Automotive Office Manager

The Office Manager develops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, maintains accurate records, and establishes and maintains the data processing capabilities to accomplish the dealership's objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with established timelines
  • Interpret and analyze the financial statements
  • Maintain an effective cash management system
  • Approve adjustments to inventory, cost of service and expense accounts
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Coordinate and prepare reconciliations for all accounts and physical inventories
  • Automate all possible systems and establish controls
  • Maintain and post monthly standard entries
  • Work with office staff to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Reconcile all accounts prior to month end
  • Assist in completion of annual reviews and audits
  • Complete end-of-month accounting reports as assigned
  • Prepare a daily cash report
  • Run and review expense trend reports monthly
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with internal and external customers
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Provide back-up Accounting support as needed


Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the Automotive industry (Toyota preferred)
  • Working knowledge of dealership financial statements
  • Ability to explain technical financial information in an understandable manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of most accounting office positions
  • Professional appearance
  • Previous experience working in a busy office environment, preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent follow-through skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Office hours/work week Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 with occasional overtime, required
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Knowledge in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
