The Quality Assurance Assistant Manager is responsible and accountable for supporting the Quality Management System. This includes improving overall quality of our products, by providing expertise and advice on production or product problems.
Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Assistant Manager will have Quality Specialists, reporting directly to them. Focus will be on customer and plant quality.
Evaluate and monitor quality assurance methods of in-house processes.
Provide technical direction to suppliers and internal departments for quality assessment and validate the results.
Manage customer quality and internal quality corrective actions, monitoring timeliness, as well as overall effectiveness.
Communicate with customers to understand and analyze customer requirements regarding quality assurance activities.
Communicate with customers regarding quality information and corrective actions.
Implement internal quality measures to meet quality objectives.
Arrange and maintain working environment by complying with ISO14001, IATF16949, safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or quality.
Minimum 3 years of experience in quality department / manufacturing.
Experience in PPAP requirements and root cause analysis
Computer skills working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Effective oral and written communications skills.
Desired Skills/ Characteristics
Experience in a cross-cultural working environment.
High mechanical aptitude
Problem-solving mindset, willingness to go see the source of the issue.
Performs and leads well with urgent and/or critical issues.
Experience as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer at an automotive manufacture.
