Lead the development of strategic customer playbooks inclusive of sizing of opportunities. Contribute to highly strategic bodies of work to identify and codify key audience cohorts and journeys. Lead a team that will perform deep analysis on customer segments for strategy team to develop Go-to-Market activation plans around. Responsible for establishing systems that utilize business logic to unlock and automate audience activation via marketing technology capabilities and processes. Continuous optimization to help deliver access, focus and clarity on core audiences to increase marketing efficiency and brand relevance. This leader will work across key agency and analytical partners to develop processes and approaches to drive speed and accuracy to scale. This leader will possess analytical problem-solving abilities and will demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter who can effectively manage and deliver both large and small projects. They will be a critical-thinker and strategically ensure attention is being given to the most pressing opportunities. They will also possess strong leadership and collaboration skills, working cross functionally across key stakeholders to drive alignment and deliver results.
What You Will Do
- Manages a team of assistant marketing managers and analysts and is the operational leader for utilizing and business logic, customer data and platforms to unlock and scale the automation of advanced audience strategies and audience architecture design, building and syndication to paid and owned channels.
- Evangelize and personalize the audience cohorts to create a shared understanding and usage/buy-in of the information.
- Ensures cross functional partners are aligned with key audience cohorts and communicates changes or adjustments to cohorts to key business stakeholders.
- Defines and develops short term business needs and activation processes that ladder up to the long-term strategy/approach to cross functional partners to ensure organizational alignment.
- Provides competitive analysis and demonstrates industry knowledge to ensure customer and audience strategy capabilities meet or exceed department objectives.
- Provides Marketing leadership (Director) key updates regarding strategy, progress, and risks.
- Champions marketing technology (MarTech) adoption by providing day-to-day use cases that outline how to unlock new customer and communications opportunities through 1P/2P/3P audience strategy and activation.
- Identifies strategic opportunities to improve automation and efficiency across marketing functional teams.
- This position manages/supervises people
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Econometrics, Information Sciences, Applied Quantitative or related field
- 5-8 Years of Data-driven Marketing experience
- 3-5 Years Leading a team
- 3-5 Years Leadership experience in audience development, data driven marketing and/or digital marketing with a strong understanding in ad tech landscape and addressable media ecosystem
- 3-5 Years Experience leveraging consumer insights and research to develop customer strategies and thought leadership that are grounded in audience insights, audience profile development, and customer journey creation.
- Master's Degree in a related field
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Hands on experience working on a DMP, CDP, CRM platform, onboarding partners, other ad tech platforms for audience development, onboarding or/and syndication and taxonomy structure maintenance
- Experience working in a retail environment
