Your Purpose as a Director, HR Business Partner:


Function as the key HR Leadership Partner to store General Managers and other store leadership to ensure strong business outcomes via effective talent, culture and leadership practices. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Internal people management coach for store leadership for assigned stores
  • Working with General Managers and the talent team(s), effectively develop future leadership talent for current store succession, and future store growth
  • Utilizing the employee experience pulse surveying data and insights, better enable the exceptional execution of the Baxter Employee Experience Model within the assigned stores
  • In partnership with other HR Business Partners, lead the employment practices team including policy and handbook updates, associated management training and strong execution of employment related processes within the stores as well as effective handling of employee relations issues.
  • In partnership with other HR leaders, effectively lead group-wide talent acquisition positions and provide direction, coaching and support to store-based talent acquisition roles
  • In partnership with other HR leaders, implement the group multi-channel leadership development model within the stores
  • Effectively implement the group provided tools, resources, training, etc. focused on execution of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging strategies.


Key Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of modern, innovative HR models, tools, practices, platforms and approaches
  • Ability to effectively lead and continually develop a strong HR team and be an effective member of the HR Leadership team
  • Knowledge of EEO and ERISA laws and regulations
  • 10+ years of business operational and/or HR leadership experience beneficial – especially with executive-level leadership
  • Ability to effectively interact and engage with all levels of roles from operational and client-facing roles within the stores to senior-level executives including store general managers
  • A positive approach and team-first mindset where you are a great, collaborative, and supportive teammate
  • Forward-thinking, progressive, and dynamic – always focused on continuous improvement and individual and team growth and development
  • Being curious, agile, and having a desire to embrace new experiences
  • Strong communication skills including having a welcoming approach, good listening skills, and being empathic
