We are a social-purpose business and certified B Corporation with the goal of empowering early childhood educators through innovative, affordable tools that enable them to improve child outcomes, engage family members, and support continued professional growth for their staff. If you are excited about being part of an impact-driven business, focused on making a difference in the early childhood education industry, Lillio is the place for you.

Lillio is a Series B, private-equity backed business and we're proud to be part of the Bain Double Impact portfolio. We’re looking for…

Not only a people-people person, but someone who believes that an outstanding employee experience is rooted in exceptional people operations. You’ve been in this role before and understand what it means to work for a company at this stage and scale; as a senior-intermediate People team member (with no initial direct reports), you care deeply about employee experience, process improvement, and operational excellence. This is our first US-based People team role, joining a People team based largely in Canada.

Titles of folks who will excel in this role might be: HR Manager, Sr. HR Generalist, HR Business Partner (or Sr. PBP), People Operations Manager, People & Talent Manager, Lead- People Operations. While we understand that many folks grow experience ‘up’ through the Office Manager - People Generalist trajectory, we are looking for someone who has experience in this type of role for at least 5 years in the USA.

In this role, you get to build a solid foundation and framework that aligns with Lillio’s (new!) core values and its developing people processes. As the sole Associate, People Operations Partner in the United States (US), you will play an integral role in building the company’s success by managing the execution of HR strategies (as set out by the VP, People & Organization Development). This key position will be responsible for supporting the execution of US-based programming including: compensation structure & total rewards (including payroll management), onboarding, employee surveys, performance reviews, and employee relations. As the primary US-based employee point of contact, you will work closely with Team Leads and Managers across all functions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-focused, private-equity backed company, and is a perfect role for someone who is excited about refining foundational people processes to better support the employee experience.

The People Team

The People team at Lillio is a small and impact-focused team, who is committed to leveling up the Lillio workforce through its People programming. We are excited about building this team-first approach and this role is a key part of helping us.

Your Manager

Lillio’s VP, People & Organization Development has a philosophy that businesses should know their employee experience journey, at least as well as they do their customer journey. Focused on supporting the SLT and building and integrating the People strategy, she is a broadly focused leader who moves quickly, is fast to delegate the details, and provides autonomy to team members. She places a high value on curiosity, emotional intelligence, business acumen, and intrinsic drive to improve. You will work well with her if you are solution-oriented, business-minded, enjoy building, iterating, are confident in your approach, and are highly attentive to detail.
