Dessert Holdings is looking for a dynamic Operations Line Leader (leads a line-centric leadership team) to achieve breakthrough production results. This individual will be responsible for all results for a line/area with up to 80 employees utilizing a rigorous Daily Direction Setting system in partnership with a Process Lead and a Maintenance Lead. This team will be responsible to determine priorities to drive out losses on a 24-hour, multiple-shift line or area. Through ownership of Safety, Quality, Production and Reliability targets, this team will drive operational excellence for their area and foster employee engagement to achieve customer satisfaction.
Compensation Range: We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on your experience, skills, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Single point of ownership for the delivery of the line/system improvement, owning line’s performance results
- Own and improve Human and Food Safety performance for the line/system
- Create and execute daily/weekly/monthly action plans for the line (in coordination with the other Leads), cross-functional resources, and site leadership
- Build capability in operators’ performance to identify, measure and drive out losses on their equipment through ongoing feedback and coaching
- Identify training gaps for the operators and technicians on the system, and develop/ensure execution of training plan to address these gaps
- Drive continuous improvement and total employee involvement in critical success areas by empowering employees to utilize lean manufacturing tool
- Manage the team’s on-shift safety, product quality, and execution of improvement plan actions
- Coordinate and lead staff in shift hand-offs, onboarding of new employees, team development, performance management, start-up and changeover.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Management and 2+ years of related manufacturing experience
- Prior supervisory or lead experience is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated capability in the application of Continuous Improvement tools
- Demonstrated basic technical capability on at least one product platform
- Shift flexibility including extended hours, weekends or holidays as needed
