Base pay range
This remote role offers the opportunity to utilize your Behavioral Health expertise in supporting the approval and denial of claims across various business lines, including Utilization Management, Quality Management, and Case Management. This position is flexible, allowing you to work from home while occasionally visiting the office. Ideal candidates are located in or around Orange County or San Bernardino County, California.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and determine the appropriateness of claims using your Behavioral Health expertise.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership and maintain high standards in psychiatric care.
- Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and care coordination efforts.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the psychiatric specialty.
- Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience within a healthcare setting.
- Doctorate of Medicine from an accredited institution.
- A valid California Medical Doctor license.
- Board certification in Psychiatry from an American Specialty Board.
- Preferred experience in quality, care coordination, and utilization management within inpatient psychiatry, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), or Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
