As Executive Director, you are a partnership minded professional who will lead Waterstone’s strategic partnerships with the industry’s most senior travel executives. You will be the “control tower” of our sales strategies; effectively managing our day-to-day sales activities & ensuring our team is executing meaningful & dynamic tactics.

Our growing team thrives on innovative thinking rooted in traditional hospitality & our brand is constantly evolving. You will be at the cornerstone of our expanded brand’s presence & assist with the implementation of our new blueprint.


Job Responsibilities & Skills

· Develop an overall sales strategy as our company evolves

· Coordinate & manage sales activity calendar for the sales team

· Maintain high profile industry relationships with consortia & trade partners

· Facilitate our partnerships with key agency organizations & individuals to find new opportunities

· Set sales goals for each quarter & maintain a budget for the department

· Work directly with all our member accounts

· Manage our presence, along with our members, at various worldwide trade events (ILTM, TFest, LE Miami, PURE, Virtuoso Travel Week & more).

· Organize & lead our brand at events, sales missions & roadshows

· Host & lead agency educational trips

· Create, prepare & execute individual account action plans for our members to ensure objectives, strategies & activities are aligned with business needs

· Maintain a social media presence with travel partners

· Stay on-top of budget & consistently track spend

· Ability to travel frequently & commit to an annual travel schedule

· Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty


Your Profile

· Based on the Eastern Region strongly preferred

· Previous role & responsibilities as a senior sales manager or director required

· Strong experience in sales of premium or luxury hospitality products

· Established relationships & partnerships with key travel trade accounts

· Ability to envision, create, lead and account for results is critically important in this role

· Strong communications, eloquence and perfectionism

· Detail-oriented, results-driven and reliable, with a desire to thrive for perfection in every aspect of your job.

· Excellent sales and communication skills, proactive work ethic and flexibility.

· High degree of engagement and the willingness to familiarize yourself with your new environment.

· High level of autonomy

· Strategic leader focused on our company mission

· A result-oriented way of working, an entrepreneurial spirit combined with a hands-on attitude.

· This role requires leadership and teamwork skills, management experience, & knowledge of marketing methods & tools.
