Role description:

The International Mobility Director serves as the architect, custodian & risk manager for Arcadis’ International Mobility function. In partnership with CoE, GBA, Enabling Functions, and external partners, the International Mobility Director will develop and deliver effective, compliant, and harmonized program solutions.

Role accountabilities:

Act as custodian and architect of Arcadis International Mobility Policies & Programs

As a member of the Global People Services Team, the International Mobility Director will foster trusted and influential relationships with CoE, GBA, and Country People Services Managers to develop, implement, and deliver effective international mobility programs & policies in alignment with industry trends and the strategic people and culture direction.

In more detail, the International Mobility Director will:

Workforce Solution Leader & Transformation Champion

  • Assess our current mobility program against business needs, stakeholder feedback, and market trends, including the outcome of the international mobility optimization review project
  • Develop effective solutions to address business mobility needs, striking the right balance between internal expertise and vendor support
  • Identify preferred vendor partnerships to facilitate program development & delivery
  • Partner with internal & external stakeholders to develop robust & harmonized mobility programs ensuring clarity of roles & responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Service Delivery Manager

  • Collaborate with People Business Partners & CoE partners to identify internal opportunities and offer internal candidates a tailored experience that supports the internal mobility program and skills-powered organization program
  • Oversee the management & tracking of employee movement globally, including expatriates, short-term assignments, global transfers, and repatriations.
  • Manage service delivery to monitor & advise on risk, ensure compliance, and drive quality for active mobility cases.
  • Manage a global team of Mobility advisors, ensuring service excellence, providing coaching, training, and career development
  • Coordinate with external service providers, and internal stakeholders (i.e. legal, corporate tax, payroll, people team, etc) to ensure legislative and tax compliance
  • Manage vendor partnerships to ensure ongoing service quality, and cost-effective solutions
  • Provides subject matter expertise and serves as escalation for complex cases
  • Work with Finance (Tax) to ensure mobility and international tax obligations are met
  • Owns key international mobility documentation including policies, procedures, and templates to ensure harmonized and effective service delivery and an equitable employee experience.
  • Acts as a point of escalation for exception management
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop and deliver robust International Mobility Programs and implement global policy
  • Proactively seek opportunities to continuously improve International Mobility Policies, and enhance user experience

Qualifications & Experience:

The candidate should have an academic degree (preferably in human resources) and progressive experience in managing an international mobility function. They should have broad experience and understand the complexity of leading mobility issues.

Other required experience and competencies for this role:

  • Having a broad knowledge and proven track record with all major components of Global Mobility related functions & business processes
  • Stakeholder management and the maturity to deal with senior business & people leader
  • High-level communication skills, strong consulting, and presentation skills, with the ability to move between listening to, guiding, and co-creating with others at all levels
  • Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and strong commitment to delivering quality outcomes

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $104,400 - $155,875. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
