Financial Planning Director
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Director to lead the organization’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions. The Financial Planning Director will be responsible for developing financial models, forecasting future financial performance, and providing strategic insights to support the organization’s financial decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Develop financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and assess the financial impact of various business initiatives.
- Collaborate with department heads to create accurate and comprehensive budgets that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management and department leaders.
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Lead the FP&A team, including hiring, training, and performance management, to ensure high levels of performance and collaboration.
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial planning processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that could impact the organization’s financial planning and performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record in a senior leadership role.
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements and key performance indicators.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing high-performing financial teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
