We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Director to lead the organization’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions. The Financial Planning Director will be responsible for developing financial models, forecasting future financial performance, and providing strategic insights to support the organization’s financial decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Develop financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and assess the financial impact of various business initiatives.
Collaborate with department heads to create accurate and comprehensive budgets that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management and department leaders.
Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Lead the FP&A team, including hiring, training, and performance management, to ensure high levels of performance and collaboration.
Continuously evaluate and improve financial planning processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that could impact the organization’s financial planning and performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are preferred.
8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record in a senior leadership role.
Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements and key performance indicators.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing high-performing financial teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in financial planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
