Real Estate Finance Attorney

Direct Counsel is looking for Real Estate attorney for a national law firm. This is an excellent partnership-track opportunity to join a collegial office environment while working closely with a team of highly skilled and experienced attorneys on sophisticated matters at a national level. You will be part of a team that supports the professional development of their associates, trains, and mentors, and helps them grow as lawyers. Part of that training involves early and frequent work directly with clients in a diverse transactional practice.

Responsibilities:

• At least 3 years of experience with one or more of the following: acquisitions/dispositions, finance, leasing and joint ventures
• Experience in loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity, is preferred, as well as asset management and workout experience.
• Requisite experience: running transactions on behalf of lenders from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies
• The ability to work with other team members and clients and take ownership of projects
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail, high level of organization, and ability to manage multiple projects
• Be admitted to the State Bar of Interest with preference for CA, Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, New York, Utah or Pennsylvania

Compensation:
