How You'll Perform The Role

• Development, implementation and administration of quality policies and procedures to all employees.
• Review and create SOPs and other supporting documentation related to the manufacturing, testing, packaging and labeling processes to assess compliance with the regulatory submissions.
• Establish and perform quality training programs for all employees.
• Perform corrective actions with the support of the Production Manager and HR Manager to ensure all quality and production policies and procedures are met and followed.
• Perform sanitation and quality control audits throughout the plant, report findings and take corrective action.
• Maintain up to date inspection reports, files, quality programs and samples.
• Implement and maintain company Pest Control Program, GFSI / BRCGS Program and other programs to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee the development, implementation, review and maintenance of BRCGS Program.
• Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the BRCGS System.
• Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the BRCGS System.
• Facilitate customer questions by establishing customer relationships and working with corporate customer service.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and report process data to internal and external customers.
• Facilitate and assist support departments with technical expertise for process improvements, and environmental compliance.
• Lead Continuous Improvement reporting, activities and training within the plant.
• Oversee other miscellaneous customer audits as required.
• Serve as backup to the Quality Manager in leading and supporting a team of quality control techs.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
  
  
  

What We Need From You

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred NOT necessary
• Experience leading a quality organization/team required.
• SQF or similar experience preferred.
• Experience with customer quality audits required.
• Experience with packaging machinery and operations a plus.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must have strong problem solving and analytical ability.
• Working Knowledge of Word, Excel, and other analytical and reporting tools.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and motivate others within the team.
