VP of Engineering

Job Summary

A growing company in Houston is seeking a VP of Engineering to add to its team. The ideal candidate will have a PE license (required) and the ability to get licensed in multiple states. A steel manufacturing background is required, and storage tank experience is preferred. Seeking a strong manufacturing engineering background and proven management experience. Excellent bonus up to 50% and relocation provided. Some travel is required, about 20%. Solidworks proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies to improve manufacturing processes and product design
• Lead a team of designers and manage design schedule
• Collaborate with multiple departments to drive efficiency and innovation
• Facilitate and oversee new product development
• Ensure industry compliance with regulations
• Work with customers to resolve issues
• Work as a member of the executive team working with the Board of Directors to enhance and grow the company
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• PE License required with ability to license in multiple states
• Solid manufacturing experience - specifically seeking storage tank production experience
• 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities
• Ability to travel 20-25% to plant locations
• Solidworks proficiency required
