We're excited to continue solidifying that foundation as we are looking for a Finance Business Analyst to join our growing team.
The Finance Business Analyst is responsible for supporting multiple lines of business within Brown & Brown Insurance from a financial and operational perspective. The role requires a blended skill set of finance and IT acumen, problem solving process, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Partner and resource with the finance team to help create and drive efficiencies to a variety of business scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Challenge the status quo. Review current processes and procedures, recommend solutions, and drive best practices.
- Lead, support and drive to the finish line company initiatives at all levels of the organization.
- Effectively prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.
- Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.
- All other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or IT, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of financial accounting.
- Exposure to the insurance industry.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Proficient knowledge of the use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, etc.).
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 15%).
Preferred:
- 3-5 years in an Accounting, Finance or IT position.
- Workday financials experience.
