DevOps Infrastructure/Site Reliability Engineer

Please note that this position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

As a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer on our internal platform team, you'll help shape the future of application development and deployment at Epic by building, automating, monitoring, and maintaining on-prem infrastructure central to the development and testing of Epic's world class EHR software. Working on our small, collaborative team of experienced engineers, you will build platforms and automation that will be used across the company including application deployment in Kubernetes, configuration management, alerting and monitoring, and source control. You'll keep abreast of the latest technologies and evaluate them for implementation in service of improving developer efficiency and experience.

Desired Skills And Knowledge Areas

• 1+ years of experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex IT and/or DevOps solutions
• 1+ years of experience administering Linux systems in an enterprise setting supporting production databases or applications
• Direct experience in administration of one of more of the following
• Kubernetes
• Large-scale monitoring platforms
• Source Control Management Software, preferably GitLab
• Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Puppet, Terraform, or Ansible
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, preferably Python or Go
