Position Description

Are you a Recruiter looking for something more? As a member of the Engineering & Science Talent Acquisition team, you will perform full lifecycle recruiting for specialized skills within Engineering and Information Technology. You will work in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and creativity. You will guide applicants through the recruiting process and use effective techniques to close the deal. You will use thought leadership when working with hiring teams and demonstrate strong oral communications skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8+ years of experience in a recruiting (technology) or sourcing recruiting role (agency or corporate) with an emphasis on lead generation, candidate quality, and client management OR Masters and 6 years relevant experience OR an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Successful demonstration of full-life cycle staffing experience.
  • Ability to understand relevant technical skills, target companies and user groups.
  • Ability and willingness to support occasional travel/ on-site events throughout the Mission Systems sector.
  • Successful demonstration of full-life cycle staffing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a consultant/ advisor to hiring managers or clients to drive business results and influence change.
  • Ability to understand relevant technical skills, target companies and user groups.
  • Ability and willingness to support occasional travel/ on-site events throughout the Mission Systems sector.

Professional Skills

  • Experience with technical recruiting with demonstrated success hiring engineers, physicists, scientists, or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related positions.
  • Experience recruiting cleared (Secret and above) engineering talent in cyber, intelligence, engineering or another technical domain.
  • Background in agency recruiting.
  • Familiarity with skill requirements for DoD customers.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; able to manage multiple high priority projects effectively in a high volume, fast-paced service environment
  • Experience with server-based applicant tracking systems, ideally Workday.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective ways to build talent pipelines and tactical research.
  • Active participant in social, digital and/or other alternative sourcing techniques.

Additional Information

  • Technical recruiting experience (regardless of federal or commercial industry) is strongly preferred.
  • Though this is a remote position, there is a strong preference of candidates residing within driving distance of Linthicum Heights, MD (preferably within 50-60 miles) – this is for the ability to occasionally support on-site hiring events / meet with different hiring team members as needed.
  • We promote a “Talent Advisor” model as opposed to that of an “order taker” – i.e. someone who can build relationships / credibility with hiring teams and use data and industry knowledge to advise, partner, and guide those hiring teams so that they can meet their hiring goals. We are in the trenches and shoulder to shoulder with our hiring managers and viewed as the industry expert on the state of hiring market and here to help solve hiring challenges as opposed to just being an order taker.
