$200,000.00/yr - $260,000.00/yr

Savara is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on rare respiratory diseases. The company's lead program, molgramostim nebulizer solution, is in Phase 3 development for autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (aPAP). Savara's management team has extensive experience in rare respiratory diseases and pulmonary medicine, advancing product candidates to approval and commercialization.


Role Description

Savara is looking for a candidate to join a team of enthusiastic, creative, and driven individuals to help shape the development of a world-class Medical Affairs organization. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Global Medical Affairs, this position will participate in multiple activities within the nascent Medical Affairs function. This position will serve as a medical lead and subject matter expert in key therapeutic areas. The candidate will be responsible for participating in the development and implementation of the Medical Affairs strategy for molgramostim. This person will play a role in medical contribution to brand planning and other cross-functional endeavors. This position will provide medical/scientific input to cross-functional teams, be involved with medical/legal/regulatory review, provide input into the review and approval of Investigator Initiated Trials and requests for support of Independent Medical Education. This position will represent Medical Affairs on review committees for an array of communication materials. It is expected that this candidate will develop strong collaborations with clinical investigators and medical thought leaders in the pulmonary therapeutic area.


Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree (PharmD, MD, DO, PhD) with at least 5 years of previous Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Medical Affairs/MSL/Clinical experience required
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical information to both internal and external customers
  • Confidence and credibility to partner as peers with commercial counterparts
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are imperative. Ability to anticipate and adapt to change; strong interpersonal skills commensurate with the need to work closely with partners, investigators, contractors, consultants, and team members across functions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic planning skills;
  • Ability to work independently yet engage in collaborative decision making, to complete tasks in a timely fashion, and function in a rapid-paced environment;
  • Ability to communicate well with health care professionals. Ability to establish strong relationships with peer groups, professional organizations, and other outside parties
